# Unlimited Hookup

Break the normal connection limits in Rust!

Unlimited Hookup allows admins or players with permission to create wires, pipes, and hoses with virtually no distance restrictions. Build massive industrial networks, create impossible-looking setups, or connect monument IO to your own creations.

The only practical limitation is Rust's network grid, meaning connections beyond roughly 300 meters will not transfer resources or power correctly.

Note: While you can connect almost anything together, only compatible connection types will actually transfer resources. For example, connecting a battery to a water tank is possible, but electricity will not magically become water!

# How To Use

1. Equip the Tool Gun (Gary's Mod Tool Gun).
2. Type:

/hookup

3. The Unlimited Hookup interface will appear on the right side of your screen.

Selecting the Output

• Look at an IO entity.

• Press Middle Mouse (or Reload if configured).

• This becomes your output source.

Press X to clear the current selection.

Creating Route Points

Instead of selecting another socket, press the selection key while looking at the ground or another valid surface.

This creates a waypoint that the wire, pipe, or hose will pass through, allowing clean custom routing around bases or structures.

Selecting the Destination

Look at the destination IO entity and press the selection key.

Once both the source and destination are selected, the Connect button will turn green.

Choose the desired input socket if necessary, then press Connect to complete the connection.

Monument Support

Unlimited Hookup can connect directly to monument IO.

For example:

• Spawn a Card Reader using the F1 console.

• Connect it directly to a Door Controller.

• Build custom monument puzzles or admin events with ease.

Configuration

The plugin includes options for:

• Toggle using Reload instead of Middle Mouse

• Optional center-screen crosshair

• Custom UI icon data

Notes

• Connections can span almost unlimited distances.

• Resource transfer is limited by Rust's network grid (approximately 300 meters).

• Up to 50 custom routing points can be placed per connection.

• Works with wires, pipes, and hoses.
